Eric Macheru Bags A Cool Hosting Gig. In just a day, we will get to see the talented actor show off another one of his talents. Eric Macheru will show his versatility at the upcoming Royalty Soapie Awards nominee announcement.
Many know Eric as an actor. He has been playing the role of Leeto Maputla on Skeem Saam, ever since the show began over a decade ago. The role has grown big over the years, and now its one of the lead characters. Before then though, Eric was a football player. He used to play for Ajax Cape Town. He joined the team after winning the Soccer Kings competition in 2005. Sadly his football career fell short after getting an injury.
Eric is now exploring the other side of the industry, which is hosting. He has been announced as the co-host for the Royal Soapie Awards nomination announcement. Eric will be holding it down with fellow Skeem Saam star, Hellen Motsuki.
The nominees nomination announcement are happening on 24 July, whereas the awards ceremony is set for 24 August at the Heartfield Arena, Pretoria.
