Dumi Mkokstad and Big Zulu Make Peace After Chaos at Celebrity Football Tournament
Dumi Mkokstad and Big Zulu Make Peace. Over the weekend, musicians from different genres gathered together for their annual soccer tournament. Four teams, the gospel, hip-hop, maskandi and gqom teams prepared hard for the tournament. This time around it was bigger and better with many major sponsors, which included SABC Sport. The number of spectators at the stadium was also satisfactory.
Hip-hop defeated maskandi team in the first game, and gqom beat gospel team in the second game. After that, chaos erupted between as the gospel and maskandi teams accused the hip-hop team, and the gqom team, of cheating and breaking several rules. This led to the team captains, DJ Tira, Big Zulu and Dumi Mokokstad to get involved in a verbal fight.
Dumi refused to get off the field to allow Gqom and Hip Hop to go on finals. This did not sit well with Big Zulu, who kept on referring to Dumi as Mfana (small boy). All of this was live on TV, and trended on social media as well.
Its all in the past now. Big Zulu apologized to Dumi, his family, fans and the sponsors. Dumi also acknowledged the apology, and in turn apologized for a tournament ruined.
