Over the weekend, when most of her peers were having a blast at the Durban July event, Nambitha was slaying her international gig. The award winning actress and brand ambassador was the host with the most at the Cultural Connections Sessions at the 3rd Annual Essence Film Festival. Nambitha also participated in Essence’s “Hollywood House x EFOC” on Friday, as a mentor in “Laser Networking-The Actor’s Den”. She had the opportunity to have brief, targeted business chats with industry insiders.
When she got the gig, Nambitha shared that she was nontenured to have received the invite. Now that she did her thing, she is grateful that she gets to live her dreams and prayers.

Essence Film Festival celebrates content from Black America and the entire African diaspora. The event is filled with a mix of screenings, panel discussions, networking sessions and more.
This year’s event took place from 5-7 July, 2024, at the New Orleans Convention Centre, all the way in the United States of America
