Janet Jackson Is Coming to South Africa
Janet Jackson Is Coming to South Africa. One thing about South Africa, it has a way of attracting international artists. Renowned musicians and groups such as Boys II Men, Joe Thomas, Baby Face, Deborah Cox, Tamia, Mariah Carey, Nicky Minaj and so many others have graced our shores with their exceptional talents.
This is thanks to events such as the DStv Delicious Festival. Just a year ago, Nigerian sensation Tems headlined the much loved festival along with American R&B star Maxwell. In the past years, DStv Delicious Festival has had acts like Burna Boy, Jamiroquai, Chaka Khan, Erykah Badu, Hugh Masekela, Black Coffee, Louie Vega; chefs Reuben Riffel, Siba Mtongana and J Something amongst others.
This year is no exception, as the 11th annual DStv Delicious International Food & Music Festival is going bigger and better. Set for 21-22 September 2024, at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit (Johannesburg), the festival is bringing the one and only Janet Jackson. She will be headlining the show first paving way for another American superstar, Jill Scott. Three-time Grammy winner Scott will perform at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit on Sunday, September 22; while Jackson will be the headliner on Saturday, September 21.
The Saturday show will feature The 30 Years of Creative Freedom Show. The line-up includes local stars such as Boom Shaka, Cassper Nyovest, Focalistic, Khuli Chana, Maggz, Morafe, Okmalumkoolkat, Reason, Robot Boii and Touchline.
The following day, which is Sunday, Scott will be supported by Soweto Gospel Choir, Sjava, The Maestro (aka Greg Maloka) and Oskido. This is definitely why the festival is trending, months in advance.
