Brenda Mhlongo Joins Uzalo. She is one of the most versatile actresses out there. Brenda Mhlongo has played many characters ranging from her starring role as Rafiki in the stage production of Disney’s The Lion King, to many onscreen characters.
After being away from action for some time, the international-award winning actress is back with another major role. Brenda has been cast on Uzalo as Police Commissioner Shezi. The commissioner entered the scene as the police and the community are going through the most, trying to figure out who The Punisher could be. She is already at the top of her game, asking all the relevant questions. It goes without saying that Shezi is going to shake things up in KwaMashu.
Uzalo is one of the shows, where a number of talented actors have been let go. The good thing though is that, more talent gets introduced. Brenda is doing very well with the roles such that many fans of the show, wish that she stays a little longer.
Brenda is best known for her on-screen character of Nandi Mabaso on the SABCs drama series Generations: The Legacy. Two years down the line, her contract did not get renewed. That was not the end with Brenda, as she bagged other roles. Brenda has been on major show like Imbewu: The Seed, The Queen and The River.
