Former YFM Presenter Lula Odiba Joins 5FM. Many know her as the daughter of the legendary Eddie Zondi. Lula Odiba has however worked hard to pave her own way as a renowned media personality and mix DJ.
Keletso Modiba, better known as Lula Odiba, has risen the ranks of broadcasting over the seven years she has been in the industry. From learning the craft working graveyard shifts on campus radio at Wits University’s VOW FM to graduating to the primetime weekday slot from 12:00 to 15:00 on the Lunch League show with Teboho ‘Fresh by Caddy’ Tsotetsi on YFM and presenting on Channel O’s music variety show Groove, Lula is the girl she thinks she is.
With her father as the late Metro FM broadcaster Eddie Zondi, Lula always had a deep respect for the art of radio, and he pushed her to forge her own way forward in the industry since grade nine. A month before her dad passed on, Lula shadowed DJ Fresh at 5FM for two days. In 2021, Lula bagged a gig on YFM, hosting the 7pm and 10pm slot on The Nightcap with Lula Odiba.
The energetic young presenter has now found a new radio home, 5FM. Lula will host 5 lunch, weekdays from 12:00 to 15:00 with 5 drive’s Nadia Romanos.
