Social Media Reacts to Mmusi Maimane’s Hilarious Political Advert. With just a week before the National General Elections, politicians are doing all they can to lure in voters. From house to house campaigns, rallies, debates, media runs, to social media, parties are doing the most out there.
One political leader who is campaigning in full force is Mmusi Maimane. The politician and author is the founder and leader of Build One South Africa, one of the political parties on the ballot paper in 2024. BOSA believes in one South Africa, where all citizens have equal access and opportunity. Mmusi is no newbie in our political landscape as he was the leader of the Official Opposition in South Africa, Democratic Alliance, a position he held for more than 5 years.
Maimane resigned from DA in 2019, a day after former Johannesburg Mayor Herman Mashaba called it quits from the party. “We are not stepping away from politics. We will continue with the vision for one South Africa. As long as I have air in my lungs, that dream, that fight must continue,” he said.
Now he has his own party, and hopes to go back to parliament. To do so, Maimane has to win the hearts of voters. He recently did an ad, pointing out issues that holds the country back. Maimane also shared what his party will bring to rectify those problems. He dismissed all the political leaders, urging voters to vote for him, thus choosing change.
