This year’s dress code was “The Garden of Time” and Tyla slayed it. The Grammy award-winning musician came literally wearing a Sand Sculpture to the 2024 Met Gala. The strapless dress was made to hug every inch of her amazing body before flaring out into an organza mermaid train. Made with three colors of sand and mixed with micro crystal studs, the dress shines with Tyla’s every move. She accessorized with an hourglass purse, matching the hourglass silhouette.
Explaining her look, Tyla told reporters her gown was inspired by “the sands of time”, hence, the on-the-nose handbag. She also made a major beauty statement for her gala debut, switching out her signature bouncy curls for a sleek, layered bob. Many fashion critics have dubbed her the best dressed and one of the most on-theme guests for the glamorous event.
