The actress, DJ and entrepreneur revealed in a statement that she is involved in a new upcoming TV series, which will conflict with the shooting schedule for Tropika Island of Treasure. Omuhle extended her deepest apologies to the entire team, her supporters, and everyone who has been rooting for her.
“As an actress returning to the screen following a year-long break off screen, my team and I have given careful thought to my next professional steps. It is with sincere and heartfelt gratitude that I express my appreciation for the opportunity to be a part of Tropika Island of Treasure, and I was eagerly anticipating the show. However, we have concluded that prioritizing a longer acting contract in my professional field is in my best interest,” Omuhle said.

The other celebrity contestants still on the show are Bobby Van Jaarsveld, Chad Jones, Ndavi Nokeri, TikTok, Karl Kugelmann, Hungani Ndlovu and Nqobile Khwezi.
This year, the reality show will be hosted by SAFTA award-winning TV personality, Zanele Potelwa. The public has been urged to get their audition videos ready to try their luck to be a part of this opportunity of a lifetime. Auditions for Tropika Island of Treasure Zanzibar officially opened on 1 March 2024, and they are now closed. The winning duo will walk away with the shared prize of R1million.
