Botlhale Boikanyo Selected As A 2024 Mandela Washington Fellow. She has been moving mountains from a very young age. Botlhale Boikanyo came into the spotlight after winning SA’s Got Talent back in 2012.
At the tender age of thirteen the poet and actress performed her poems at the Legacy of Hope Nelson Mandela Children’s Hospital campaign inauguration in New York. Her request and performance was linked with International Mandela Day. As an honorary committee member, Botlhale joined personalities like Maya Angelou, Whoopi Goldberg, Sir Anthony Hopkins and Charlize Theron. Her message led her to the recording of Africa my Pride, which was turned into music by Malambule from Native Rhythms Productions.
Moving all the way to the top, she has just made a major announcement. Botlhale has been selected as a 2024 Mandela Washington Fellow. Established in 2014, the Fellowship is celebrating its tenth anniversary in 2024.
