Department of Education Opens Posts for Examination Assistant 2024

Applications Open for Examination Assistant Positions. Interested persons are hereby invited to apply for Examination Assistants. This will be during the marking of the National Senior Certificate examination script in July and December 2024.

Criteria

• Full-time education students who are at least in the second year of study at a recognized tertiary institute.
• Education student with relevant and appropriate experience of examination related work.
• Education students with basic numeracy skills.
• Unemployed education graduates with proof attached.

Instructions to Applicants

• Post only open to South African citizens.
• Complete all the spaces provided on the application form fully and honestly.
• Complete the separate from containing bank account details and have the bank verify and put a stamp on it. The applicant must please sign the form. Ensure to use your own banking details and not somebody else’s.
• Attach a certified copy of your qualifications.
• If you are currently studying, attach a letter of proof of your latest registration at the tertiary institution that you are currently enrolled at.
• Three certified copies of the green barcoded ID/ID card must be attached to the form.
• Keep this advertisement and submit only one set of the application form.
• Employed persons with not be considered for appointment as examinations assistants.
• False information, will lead to the rejection of any application or prompt dismissal if appointed.
• Incomplete, emails, faxed and late applications will not be considered.
• No sleeping accommodation and no transport will be provided for examination assistants.
• Due to the large number of applications expected, receipt of applications will not be acknowledged.
• Marking times are from 8:00 in the morning until 20:00 in the evening.
