Basetsana Kumalo Takes A Moment to Appreciate her Husband Romeo. Quite often, many people feel that Basetsana Kumalo is the one in the forefront of protecting the family against negativity. This is because in most cases, she is the vocal one, and takes bullies head on.
Just the other day, Basetsana made her husband, her Man Crush Monday, singing all his praises. From the heartfelt shout out to Romeo Kumalo, it has become evident to doubting Thomases that he does his job as the man of the house. Bassie thanked Romeo for loving, protecting, guiding and protecting them amongst other things. She also added that hubby is consistent in all these.

Thank you for loving us so deeply, for protecting us, for being dependable, for being consistent, for guiding us, for fighting for us, for keeping us safe, for providing for us and going above and beyond for our wellbeing. The power couple met when Bassie was crowned Miss Soweto. They started dating in 1997 and married in 2000. In 2004 Kumalo gave birth to their first child, a boy named Nkosinathi Gabriel. A second son, uShaka Kgositsile Emmanuel, was born in 2012. Their last born is a daughter
Together, they have launched the Romeo & Basetsana Kumalo Family Foundation, assisting children, specifically those orphaned by AIDS and other related diseases. In 2009 the foundation received the Inyathelo Philanthropy Merit Award.
The couple is seldom involve in scandals. They recently won a defamation case against author Jackie Phamotse. In a joint statement, the Kumalos said that peace has been restored at last.
