“We Received No Compensation From that Albany Thing,” Photographer Speaks Out
“We Received No Compensation From that Albany Thing,” Photographer Speaks Out. About eight months ago, Lethukukhanya Mjaji captured the hearts of many with her adorable videos and pictures.
The then three-year old was captured by her uncle Lungisani Mjaji, going to buy Albany bread. In the pictures and videos, Lethu is in high spirits, flashing her smile that had many people, admiring her. Social media did the most for the young girl, making her trend. Everyone wanted Albany bread band to recognize Lethu. Many were hopeful she will get endorsement deals, adverts, bursaries and so forth. Some even wanted Albany to have Lethu’s picture on their packaging. Things really looked promising for the young girl and her uncle, who is a commercial photography student at Tshwane University of Technology (TUT).
Well, sadly for Lethu and her uncle, nothing tangible materialized from their Albany content. According to Lungisani, they received nothing from the company. The good thing though is that they are still in good spirits, and working hard. He is hopeful that God will open doors for them. The dedicated uncle also vowed to support his niece with what he has. We can’t wait fro more from the talented duo.
“We received no compensation from that Albany thing. Let’s dispel the notion that we gained anything from it. We’ve moved on, we’re creating, and I trust that God will guide our path. I’ll personally support the child with what little I have. “Ubuntu abusekho”,” he said.
