“Growing Up There Made Me the Woman I am Today,” Kim Jayde Pays Tribute to Zimbabwe on Independence Day. It’s always to reflect back to where you come from, so that you can appreciate your present even more. This is exactly what Zimbabwean-born Kim Jayde is doing.
Kimberley Jayde Robinson, was born in Harare, Zimbabwe. She then moved to Bulawayo, where she was raised for the earlier parts of her life. In 2009 after high school, she moved to South Africa to begin her career in modeling and continue with her studies.
It was not easy for Kim to penetrate the industry though, but she kept on pushing. When modeling gigs were hard to come by, Kim then became a hostess and started doing promo work to make a living until she worked her way to the top. Now the multi-award winning media personality is known for a lot of major gigs and achievements. She is the first Zimbabwean to join for the Revlon SA Campaign in 2018. Kim also made it to the Forbes Africa 30 Under 30 and became a presenter at MTV Base.
Although she is doing amazing things in SA, Kim has not forgotten Zimbabwe. As the country celebrates its 44th independence, Kim wished it a happy one. She credits Zimbabwe for making her who she is today.
