“You’re the Reason I Fell In Love With Jazz,” Bonang Matheba as Nothemba Madumo Exits Metro FM. A week ago, METRO FM released their new lineup for the season. Although it was exciting to see new talent, it was also sad to see old personalities leave.

One of those leaving the radio station is Nothemba Madumo. Sunday evening was her last on as a METRO FM presenter. The veteran media personality was the host of the Urban Jazz Experience. Sadly she will not be returning to the station for their 2024/25 lineup. The show has also been replaced on the 9PM Sunday slot with a new title and presenter.

“I was an emotional reck from all the love, support and gratitude I felt from everyone who has been part of my jazz journey and jazz family. I was overwhelmed by the surprise visit in the studio by my dearest and THANK YOU,” she said.

In a heartfelt tribute, the celebrated media personality stated that Nothemba is the reason she is now a jazz lover. Bonang also wished her a brighter future.

“I’m gonna miss you soooo much. You’re the reason I fell in love with jazz – 3 years ago….I go to jazz clubs now, have a new playlist every week – I even put my girls on too. Lol! Sundays will never be the same. Excited to see what’s next. I love you so much,” Bonang said.
