Nambitha Ben-Mazwi and Dr Jerry Mofokeng Honored at Don Julio Oscar’s Viewing Party. Talk about getting your flowers while you still alive! Actress Nambitha Ben Mazwi and Veteran Actor Dr Jerry Mofokeng Makhetha recently received their flowers at the Don Julio Oscar’s Viewing Party.
Dr Makhetha and Nambitha were honored for their remarkable achievements in the South African film and television industry. In a heartfelt tribute to their immense contributions, Don Julio 1942 honored the two for their unwavering dedication, artistic brilliance, and profound impact on the cultural landscape of South Africa.
Among other activities was a robust panel discussion with industry leaders, Producer Bonga Percy Vilakazi, Multichoice Premium Content Producer Nicola Van Niekerk, Nambitha and Dr Makhetha. The panel discussion was on the future of African film and television. This was facilitated by multi-award winning media personality and producer Anele Mdoda.
Amongst big names in attendance were Former Miss South Africa beauty queens Lalela Mswane and Ndavi Nokheri, Hope Mbhele, Blue Mbombo, Warren Masemola, Mondli Makhoba, Zola Nombona, Sthandile Nkosi and Nay Maps-Maphalala.The event took place at Shepstone Gardens, Houghton.
