Hope Mbhele Thanks Viewers As Umkhokha: The Curse Wraps Up Season I. Time flies when one is having fun. It feels like just yesterday when Umkhokha: The Curse Season I premiered on TV. The show revolves around the battle between the Mthembu and Gumede/Mzobe families for leadership of one of the biggest churches in KwaZulu-Natal, the Ithempile Lenkosi.
The hit telenovela is conceived as a spin-off prequel from the drama series Umkhokha. It takes viewers to the beginning of the original story to uncover how it all came to be. After ending Umkhokha on a cliffhanger, the series about two families at war promises a new era. Rather than picking up where the original series left off, Umkhokha: The Curse took viewers to the beginning of the story.
Deli Malinga as MaMzobe, Sibonile Ngubane as Difa, Nay Maps as Sphamandla and Hope Mbhele as Mabusi, are among cast members who were not new to the show. Gcinile Nkosi as MaNzimande (replacing Sthandiwe Kgoroge) and Daniel Hadebe as Reggie (replacing Mondli Makhoba), came in as new cast members.
When Umkhokha: The Curse clocked its 100th episode, Hope took to Instagram to celebrate the cool milestone. The talented actress, MC and entrepreneur thanked everyone for the love they have shown the show. Now with the first season over, Hope once again took to social media to express her gratitude.
