Applications Open for the University of South Africa Internship Programme 2024

The University of South Africa invites South African unemployed youth to apply for Internship Programme 2024. This is an exceptional opportunity to gain hands-on experience and valuable skills in various fields offered by UNISA. Whether you’re interested in administration, research, technology, or any other aspect of our diverse organization, these internships provide a platform for you to learn, grow, and make a difference.

Requirements: 

  • Unemployed South African Citizens who have completed a UNISA qualification (3 years National Diploma or Degree) which is equivalent to NQF level 6 and above.
  • Computer literacy in respect of office automation packages (Microsoft Office Suite) and internet.
  • Good interpersonal relations, communication skills, and telephone etiquette.
  • Proficiency in English (Verbal and written).
  • No formal work experience in the field of study.
  • Applicants who have participated in any internship programme should not apply.
  • Ability to take initiative, work in a team under constant supervision.
  • The ability to prioritize, pay attention to detail and go an extra mile.
  • Sense of commitment, responsibility, and punctuality.
  • Ability to work under pressure and under strict deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Time management.
  • Not older than 35 years.

Available Positions: 

1. Position: Communication, Marketing & Events

College/Department/Directorate: Institutional Advancement (DIA)

Location/Region: Pretoria Muckleneuk, Gauteng Province

 Minimum Qualification:

  • Diploma/Degree in ICT or BSC in Informatics or any other relevant ICT related qualification.

2. Position: Student Administration and System Integration

 Contact Person: Xoliswa Magqazana

 Locations: East London

  Minimum Qualification:

  • National Diploma in Information Technology

3. Position: Facilitation of Learning

   Contact Person: Sekitle Bahula

   Locations: Rustenburg, Mahikeng, Potchefstroom, Kroonstad, Kimberly, and Bloemfontein.

  Minimum Qualification:

  • Diploma/Degree in any field of Administration or equivalent

Specific DIA Web Management Requirements:

  • Web design skills,
  • Web Development skills including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, UX Skills will be an advantage,
  • Basic understanding of web content management Systems,
  • Basic understanding of SEO,
  • Basic understanding of design principles and user experience design.
