Kajal Maharaj Joins Uzalo. Uzalo has once again beefed up it’s cast with more talent. The new cast members will continue with Jo-Ann’s story line, as she picks her life up, after prison. One of the newest key players is Kajal Maharaj, who has just joined the hit SABC1 show as Shireen, Jo-Anne’s support system.
The talented Kajal plays Shireen, the loyal woman standing by Jo-Anne as she tries to rebuild her life after prison. It is not easy though for the ex convict, as rebuilding her life also means facing the people she hurt along the way. One such is Brandon, played by Wallace Meth. He is the husband whose marriage was shattered by Jo-Ann’s affair with Nkunzi.
The fallout doesn’t stop there for Jo-Ann. Clayton, played by Marc Ndlovu, is her son, who is caught in the middle of the consequences of his mother’s choices. Then there’s Ashton, played by Jada McGowan, perhaps one of the people who has the most complicated history with Jo-Ann. Their relationship has been pushed to breaking point, and there’s still plenty left unresolved. Four people. Four different relationships with Jo-Ann. And a whole lot of history that refuses to stay in the past.
