Mamokgethi Phakeng Takes Us Back to the Era She Used to Play Football

Mamokgethi Phakeng Takes Us Back to the Era She Used to Play Football. Is there anything she hasn’t done. From conquering Mount Kilimanjaro, showing off epic yoga moves to taking part in slaughtering and skinning cow, Professor Mamokgethi Phakeng is definitely a jack of all trades.
She just took to social media to show off one her talents. Back in the 80’s, the former University of Cape Town Vice Chancellor used to play football. If you don’t believe it, she has the receipts to prove it. Mamokgethi played for the University of Bophuthatswana back in 1986. She wore jersey number 10, which is a very decorated number in the football world. This goes on to show how great of a player she was. We can’t wait for more throwbacks from the talented professor.
“Back in the day, 1986 to be exact, yours truly played women’s soccer at the University of Bophuthatswana. #jerseynumber10,” she captioned the picture.
