Amanda duPont Claps Back After Being Judged For Rocking With Bodyguards At A Funeral

Amanda Claps Back After Being Judged For Rocking With Bodyguards At A Funeral. One cannot be safe anywhere in South Africa. Whether it’s at home, at a celebration, at a funeral, or any event. There is too much crime, such that having to survive a day is a blessing.

Just last week, DJ Peter Mashata was shot and killed by a barrage of bullets in Soshanguve. He was killed after leaving a gig, and the criminals are still at large. The entertainer was laid to rest at the Zandfontein cemetery on Sunday, 28 April. His mom, Rebecca, wants justice for her son and is calling for stricter measures over gun violence, particularly in Mabopane and Soshanguve.

Mashata is not the first musician to be gunned down recently. His very close friend DJ Sumbody, was gunned down in Woodmead, Johannesburg, on 20 November 2022. Mashata was the programme director at Sumbody’s funeral. A year ago, Kiernan AKA Forbes was also gunned down in Durban, an incident that has left many speculations. Currently there is an ongoing court case, with some suspects behind bars.

This is why many South Africans are taking measures to protect themselves. One of those is Amanda duPont who was spotted at a funeral, surrounded by bodyguards with guns. The talented actress, TV personality and entrepreneur took to Instagram posting pictures that immediately trended.

Not so many people were impressed though, stating that one can’t do such at a funeral. One comment reads, “That’s a bit disrespectful going to someone’s funeral with bodyguards…rather not attend.”

Amanda put the individual in their place, much to the applaud of her followers.

@missrossay there were over 100 bodyguards at this funeral protecting many people 👀. Maybe mind yours or you gonna tell them all they were disrespectful 😂🤌🏽,” Amanda clapped back.
