Connie Ferguson Stars In A Netflix Suspense Thriller. Talk about being back with a bang! Connie Ferguson has bagged herself a role in an upcoming Netflix thriller, and we are here for it.
The multi-award winning actress and entrepreneur is part of the star studded film, Heart of the Hunter. The film, is set in a post-democratic South Africa where one man’s mission to save his family escalates into a fight to stop a corrupt politician from taking the presidential seat. Heart of The Hunter is the on-screen adaptation of the book of the same name, written by novelist and screenwriter Deon Meyer. The film is directed by SAFTA Winning Mandlakayise Walter Dube.
Talented actor and voice-over artist Bonko Khoza, leads the cast as Zuko Khumalo. Zuko is an unassuming family man with a deadly past. His world is turned upside down when an old colleague calls on him to honor an oath he took and save the country from venal political interests.
The key cast members also include, Masasa Mbangeni, Tim Theron, Milan Murray, Connie Chiume, Nicole Fortuin, Deon Coetzee, Peter Butler, Sisanda Henna and Wanda Banda. All of these actors have made names for themselves locally, and some have also starred in international productions.
Heart of the Hunter, will premiere on 29 March 2024.
