Big Brother Mzansi Season III Participant Nthabii Retires From Netball
Big Brother Mzansi Season III Participant Nthabii Retires From Netball. A year ago, the Limpopo Baobabs captain took a brave decision to bare it all in the Big Brother Mzansi house. Little did Nthabiseng Mothusi know that that decision will follow her into her athletic life.
Nthabii started playing as a teenager, but didn’t take it seriously in the beginning. When she was 16 years old, the reality show star and athlete was called to play for under 19 provincial, that’s when she started taking it seriously and fell in love with the sport. Nthabii has represented the Limpopo Baobabs, TUKS and Gauteng North amongst other teams. The 180cm defender can play GK/WD/GD and also loves soccer, basketball and athletics.
By her participating on such a major show like Big Brother, brought the much needed attention to netball. A lot of people started taking interest in the sport, and followed it. Her posts about netball also got a lot of attention. After doing so much for the spot, Nthabii has just announced that she is retiring.
She credits netball for everything she knows. Having led her team with dignity, Nthabi is happy that she has achieved her goal. Although she is retiring, she has assured her fans that it doesn’t end here with herself and the sport.
“A good dancer knows when to leave the stage”
Everything I know now is because of the game and everyone I met through it. It’s been an absolute pleasure 🥹 I’ve achieved my goal. Led my team with dignity and straight up to where I said I’d lead them to.
It’s not goodbye, I still have so much to do in the sport and the country. It doesn’t end here
🏆🥂,” Nthabi said.
