Thapelo Mokoena Celebrates His GQ Men of the Year Award Recognition. It’s December, and our local entertainment calendar is filled with some cool events. One event that many have been looking forward to is the GQ Men of The Year Awards.
The fifth annual GQ Men of The Year Awards, in association with Standard Bank South Africa, took place on December 2, 2023 at Langhams, Fourways in Johannesburg. The award ceremony recognizes and celebrates the trailblazers within South Africa who are shaping our cultural landscape and pushing boundaries.
Among those who got recognized at the event is Thapelo Mokoena. The multi-award winning actor, producer and entrepreneur was awarded the Editor’s Special Tribute award. Thapelo thanked GQ South Africa as well as its editor for the special recognition. He also gave it up to all the award winners, not forgetting one of the sponsors, Standard Bank SA.
