Nozuko Ntshangase Back With A Lead Role
Nozuko Ntshangase Back With A Lead Role. One thing about the entertainment industry, when one door closes, several others open. This though, mostly depend on just how talented you are.
When Diep City got canned at the beginning of the year, many were worried about the cast and crew members. The ending of the Mzansi Magic telenovela meant the ending of their jobs. The great thing though is that quite a number of them got snatched by other productions. We have seen the likes of Lebohang Mpyane, Dawn Thandeka King, Hamilton Dhlamini, Mduduzi Mabaso and Kgaogelo Monana bag roles immediately after Diep City.
Another talented actress from the show, Nozuko Ntshangase also hit the ground running after it ended. Nozuko started using the time she had on her hands to inspire others in the same industry as her. On the 1st of April she held an actors workshop, to share all the knowledge she has acquires as an entertainer. She also did theatre work.
Now Nozuko is back on the small screen with a new role. She has been cast on a new spiritual drama series called S’phiwo. The drama series offers a unique viewpoint through the connected lifestyles of two extraordinary girls destined to fulfill a legacy much greater than themselves. Nozuko has been cast to play Zodwa, a young Sangoma. Her spiritual depth and seriousness makes her stand out from the crowd.
Another lead actress in the series, is Zenokuhle Maseko, former The River actress. She plays Nothando, who is eager and vibrant to fully experience the university life. An unexpected rooming mishaps, brings her world and Zodwa together. Other cast members include Sabelo Nkosi, Ngele Ramulondi and Obakeng Makube.
S’phiwe will start Monday, January 8th 2024 on Mzansi Magic.
