“Living In Answered Prayers,” Motshidisi Mohono On Hosting the World Rugby Awards Red Carpet
“Living In Answered Prayers,” Motshidisi Mohono On Hosting the World Rugby Awards. This is definitely Motshidisi Mohono’s season, and we love it for her.
The seasoned sports presenter and journalist, has always had a passion for rugby. Growing up in South Africa, where rugby is more than just a sport but a way of life, she developed a deep love for the game. Little did she know that her journey would lead her to the center stage of the World Rugby Awards.
Motshidisi has always been vocal about her aspirations, and speaking them into existence. A year ago, she tweeted about her desire to host the World Rugby Awards ceremony. The dream doesn’t seem that far fetched anymore, as Motshidisi recently was the red carpet host at the awards.
“In July, last year, I tweeted that I’d one day host the World Rugby Awards. God responded, “let’s start with you being a guest and hosting the red carpet.” What a night,” she said in gratitude.
A couple of weeks ago, Motshidisi reached another milestone in her career as a sportscaster. The France v Springboks QF marked her first time presenting pitch-side at a Rugby World Cup. It’ took a whole 12 years, for the dream to be realized, but hey, delay is not denial.
Speaking of the moment she said, “I am incredibly blessed to do what I love, and this work has taken me to place I could only dream of. Yesterday was simply incredible; I stood right in the middle of an answered prayer. I am in awe of what God can do when you just ask Him for something, believing it’ll come to pass, and then put in the hard work as He moves the pieces in place to work all things for your good.“
