The former beauty queen and author has been in the media industry for almost three decades now. Bassie as she is affectionately called, has produced many shows through Tswelopele Productions, a company she co-owns with Patience Stevens. Some of their shows are Date My Family, Our Perfect Wedding, Diski Divas, Becoming, Expresso, Afternoon Express, and Top Billing.
Tuesday evening, she was celebrated big for the role she has played and continues to play in the industry. Bassie was awarded the Standard Bank Top Women Media Icon Award 2023. This was at the 20th Annual Standard Bank Top Women Awards took place at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg.

Looking at her almost 30 years career in the media, Basetsana is grateful for the pleasure of working with some of the most talented individuals whose careers she has seen grow. Even to date she still has the privilege of working with great creatives, brilliant minds, young dynamic stars in front of the screens and behind the scenes.
