| Job Description | Media24 Weeklies : Drum magazine has a vacancy for a talented Fashion Assistant. This candidate will be based in Johannesburg and will report to the Section Editor.The main purpose of this role is to assist the Fashion Director. |
| Minimum Requirements | A minimum qualification of one-year obtained from a tertiary institute • A minimum of two years’ experience in a fashion, lifestyle or creative environment • An even temperament and the ability to work under pressure and deal with diverse personalities and situations • The ability to work overtime if required • Proficiency in English • A valid, unendorsed Code 08 driver’s license • Willing and able to move to Cape Town for 3 to 6 months for training |

| Duties & Responsibilities | • Assisting the fashion director with the production of the fashion pages • Source and organise props/garments for shoots • Coordinate the return of all props/garments • Assist with the execution of photo shoots within the required deadlines • Assist with the pre-production and styling of shoots for the fashion pages • Contribute suitable ideas and source material for these pages • Assist in all aspects of the office administration, including the coordination of fashion expenses • Assisting with and contributing to brand extensions and advertorial projects when needed, including sourcing, organising props, writing fashion copy, arranging shoots and pre-production of shoots • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines |
