The latest celebrity to share that experience is Thembinkosi Mthembu. The talented actor has been making waves with his captivating performances and dynamic range. From the stage to the screen, Mthembu’s journey through diverse acting roles has showcased his dedication to his craft and his ability to breathe life into every character he portrays.
Thembinkosi worked hard to be where he is. After completing the diploma, he moved to Johannesburg to pursue acting career. Then he worked at Checkers and Cell C as a dancer. During this period, he received the minor role ‘Junior’ in the television series The Republic.
Then he bagged a role in the hit 1Magic telenovela, The River with the role ‘Mabutho’ in the third season, a role that gained him recognition. He also got cast as Maluso in the short film, Ngeculo.
In 2019, Thembinkosi made a recurring role as ‘Shift Manager’ on the MTV Base drama series MTV ShugaL Down South 2.
2023, say Thembinkosi cement his position in the industry with two major roles. First he gagged a role in Showmax series, Adulting. Thembinkosi played businessman Bonga, a role he carried very well. Currently he is doing his thing as Dingiswayo in the hit drama series Shaka iLembe.
Although he is now a star, Thembinkosi still gets excited over some things. He recently spotted a huge billboard with his face on it, and it made him proud.
