She is among the growing number of celebrities, who later ventured into music. Simphiwe made her mark in the entertainment scene playing Thuli in SABC2 drama, Muvhango. She then joined other major shows like The Queen and many other shows.
After the death of her husband Dumi Masilela, Simphiwe then ventured into music. She worked on producing music that Dumi was working on before his untimely. The music was compiled into an album- Eternal Crush, that was produced under the record label Simphiwe Ngema. The album includes Yena, a heartfelt song the actor and musician wrote for his wife.
Simphiwe is growing as a musician, and she and her current partner Tino Chinyani released a song they did together. The single, TIYANI is dedicated to their son, who is a special gift to them. Both parents have vocally contributed to the song, a gesture that is quite special.
About a week ago, Simphiwe announced that she was dropping another single. Titled, IDLISO, the song will drop tomorrow on her birthday. As much as some question her talent, Simphiwe is dedicated to her career as a singer. She has just shared a video in which she takes her fans through the ins and outs of her day doing music.
