Nomzamo Mbatha Among the Sowetan S-Magazine Women of The Year. Since being in the industry for a decade, Nomzamo Mbatha has been all about consistency. From bagging international roles, gracing international publication, to hosting international awards, we are in awe of her growth.
Nomzamo has starred on Isibaya, playing Thandeka Zungu, assuming the role in 2013. In 2015, she made a film debut in Tell Me Sweet Something, which was released in September 4. In 2021, she starred in the film Coming 2 America, with global stars. Currently Nomzamo is slaying one of her biggest roles, as Queen Nandi in Shaka iLembe.
In 2018, she spent time touring Kenyan refugee camps, in her role as UNHCR Ambassador. In January 2019, she was appointed a UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador. In October 2019, Nomzamo was inducted into the Golden Key International Honour Society as one of its Honorary members
Some of Nomzamo’s achievements include being recognized as one of the OkayAfrika 100 Women 2018 Honorees, by OkayAfrica Digital Media. She also received an Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actress nomination for playing “Moratiwa” in Tell Me Sweet Something.
The celebrated media personality and actress continues to make waves. She has been included among the Sowetan S-Magazine Women of The Year issue cover stars. Nomzamo has been recognized as a Woman of The Year in Entertainment category.
