Lesego Tlhabi Takes On Paris to Pursue A Masters in Global Communications. One of the most commendable things about our celebrities is the fact that they are big on education. No matter how successful they are, most of them have gone back to school to level up their academics.
Lesego Tlhabi has just joined the crew, and we are here for her decision. The award winning content creator, comedian and TV personality is in Paris, where she will pursue her Masters in Global Communication. The news was shared by her step mom, Redi Tlhabi. The journalist, media personality and author also recently celebrated bagging a degree. Obviously the family is big on education, and Redi added that they are proud of Lesego. She also gave Lesego important advise about not letting other things make her lose focus.
“Lesego Tlhabi is in Paris to begin her journey towards a Masters in Global Communications! Doing it in style! Go chase your dreams Sego. We couldn’t be prouder. Don’t let @CoconutKelz disturb your studies,” shared Redi.
This is not the first time Lesego studied abroad. She studied theatre at Brunel University in the UK followed by musical theatre at the New York Film Academy and TV writing at Columbia University in the US.
Many know Lesego as her later ego, Coconut Kelz. She was writing for television and performing as a DJ (as Dame the DJ) when she started vlogging on YouTube Coconut Kelz. The character Kelz is a “caricature of a self-loathing black person who hilariously articulates collective white anxieties in post-apartheid South Africa.
A few months back, the 34-year-old was announced as the new host of The Great South African Bake Off, the local version of the hit UK show, The Great British Bake Off.
