Jackie Phamotse Gives An Update On Her Upcoming TV Series. This is great news for those who work in the film and TV industry, most significantly actors. Jackie Phamotse is currently working on the script-writing of Bare the Blessers Game.
Jackie published he book Bare, back in 2017, and it still remains one of the most talked about books locally. Through its gripping narrative and unflinching exploration of pressing issues, Phamotse’s work delves into the complex world of blessers, exposing the underbelly of materialism, exploitation, and power dynamics that often remain concealed beneath the surface.
From the BARE franchise Phamotse has thus far published, The Cradle of the Hockey Club (2019), Ego (2020) and Mercy (2022). She recently dropped her fifth and final book, BARE: Curtain Call. Now that the books have done amazingly well, Phamotse is taking things a notch up with a television series.
“They said I was crazy, nothing would come out of my books. They said “she is imagining things”. They said we will not read all that nonsense! Then God said NO! The world needs them, keep going. Now here we are! Creating a TV series,” she said in excitement.
As this is a television series the award winning author is in need of talented actors. Taking to Instagram, Phamotse announced that auditions will start in a month and half. Those who wish to try their luck, have been advised to get the book, and familiarize themselves with the characters they will be auditioning for.
