“Huge Risk But Best Decision,” Boity On Her 5th Year Into Music. Time flies when one is having fun. It doesn’t seem like 5 years has passed since Boity Thulo ventured into music. Now she is an established rapper with a couple of awards under her name.
Although she started off as a TV personality and actress, Boity has always had a thing for rap music. She showed off her skills when she collaborated with Nasty C so seamlessly on his Juice Back performance during her Club 808 farewell show and she took many by surprise. Taking things a notch up, Boity showed the world in 2017 when she joined Nasty C during the Migos Culture Tour at the Ticketpro Dome. The duo debuted their cool track Half. At the time though, Boity, said she was just having fun.
Well the Hip Hop bug definitely bit her, and she signed a record deal with Universal Music SA the following year. Boity then released her single, titled Wuz Dat, featuring the award winning rapper Nasty C. It was such a hit that she got many bookings after that. Wuz Dat also saw Boity bag her first music award nomination. She was nominated for the Best Collabo Award at the upcoming South African Hip Hop Awards.
The journey has been such a beautiful and gracious one for the multi-talented Boity. one of the most sought-after female rappers in the industry with her flawless Motswako delivery and catchy lyrics. Boity has released more music projects, and she has collaborated with other artists.
After one publication noted her 5th year anniversary in the game, Boity responded with humility. She regards the decision as one of the best she has ever made, despite the risks involved.
