Amo Chidi Returns to Acting With A Movie Role. Her fans definitely can’t wait for this one. After being away from the industry for a couple of years, Amo Chidi is back with a lead role in a Netflix movie titled Love Sex and 30 Candles.
The movie follows the lives of girlfriends who have just reached the dirt thirties. Namely Dikeledi, Sade, Linda and Nolwazi, the friends deal with hardships, relationships and one little secret that might tear their friendship apart. These roles are played by actresses Amo, Gabisile Tshabalala, Candice Modiselle and Bahumi Mhlongo. Loyiso MacDonald, Lunga Tshabalala, Anthony Oseyemi and Terence Bridgett are also among the star studded cast.
Love, Sex and 30 Candles is the brainchild of Stephina Zwane and Salamina Mosese. The movie premieres 18 August, on Netflix.

Amo, made her first television appearance at the age 10 as a top 10 finalist on SABC2’s singing competition Light House. She was also a Top 40 finalist on the M-Net reality competition High School Musical: Spotlight South Africa, in 2008.
The talented actress and singer is also known for her prominent role as the young girl in the internationally celebrated musical show The African Mama’s. She joined the cast in August of 2010 for a woman’s month show at the Durban Playhouse Theatre. She has appeared in a number of television adverts and was the presenter of Design and Automobile on DStv’s Africa Magic channel.
What many know her for though, is for the Reneilwe role in Rhythm City. After staying with the soapie for over five years, she left.
