Watch! President Cyril Ramaphosa Shows Off His Bathu Sneakers. You know your brand is the up there when prominent people wear it with pride. One brand that has had top local and international personalities rock it, is definitely Bathu.
In 2015, after months of conceptualizing, feasibility studies and being rejected by 13 different factories, Bathu introduced the Mesh Edition Sneaker. From then till now the brand has many stores across the country and collaborated with iconic brands like OPEL, Forbes Africa, Sprite, ABInbev (Castle Lite) among many others.
The shoe brand is also popular among celebrities. Just a few months back Bathu custom made a cool sneaker for Kelly Rowland, who was in the country for a couple of days. On one shoe, there is this beautiful colorful print, and it is written ‘SA Loves Kelly‘. The other shoes has the beautiful face of the award winning American musician, TV personality, author and actress printed on it.
A month after Ricky Rick’s passing, Bathu paid tribute to him with a cool custom made sneaker. They had the face of the late award winning rapper in one shoe, and the other shoe had, ‘We Don’t Die, We Multiply‘ words printed on it. Big Brother Mzasni Season III 1st runner up Gash1 recently showed off his own custom made Bathu sneaker.
Now our very own first citizen, President Cyril Ramaphosa is a Bathu sneaker owner. Theo Baloyi, who is the man behind the brand gushed over the president rocking the cool sneakers. Now these are some high levels. Big up to Theo!
