“It Has Been A Roller-Coaster Ride,” Tsholofelo Matshaba Pens A Heartfelt Farewell Message to Her Character on The River. Although Rakgadi Kedibone did not start with The River, she is one of the most loved characters on the telenovela.
Rakgadi has been through it all, from a criminal record, unemployment, unending family drama, the loss of a loved one, and so forth and so on. The role is played by Tsholofelo Matshaba, who has been making all sorts of headlines since her debut. She joined the award winning telenovela alongside seasoned actor Thembinkosi Mthembu who plays the on-screen character of Mabutho
Tsholofelo is best known for her on-screen character on Muvhango as Meme, which gave Thandaza a character played by Sindi Dlathu a torrid time. In The River, she gave Mohumi all sorts of headaches after she betrayed the people who voted her into power. Although imperfect, she also runs a tight ship in her family, as the matriarch.
Now with The River on its last season, a lot of cast members have left, or are leaving. This includes Tsholo, meaning the end of Rakgadi. The actress has just penned a heartfelt farewell note, to Kedibone.
“It has been a roller-coaster ride with you girl!!! You held my hand through really difficult times in my life and was incredibly generous with your heart and shoulders for me to lean on,” she said.
Tsholo also credits Kedibone for grooming her, and contributing to her status as an artist. She also thanked Thsda Pictures, for giving her such an iconic role. We can’t wait to see whats in store for this seasoned actress.
