Hungani Ndlovu Makes His Much Anticipated Skeem Saam Debut Tonight. The evening that many have been waiting for in anticipation is finally here. Tonight, Hungani Ndlovu will make his anticipated debut on Skeem Saam.

The talented actor, dancer and YouTuber and has been cast to play the character of Thabo ‘Tbose’ Maputla on the SABC1 hit educational drama. The role was previously played by actor and entrepreneur Cornet Mamabolo, who took a break from Skeem Saam in 2021 to pursue other interests.

As it is the case replacing the original actor of a role, Hungani was met with a lot of critics after announcing he is the new Tbose. He is well known by many for his role as Romeo Medupe in Scandal! Because of this, viewers still associate him with roles that has something to do with cheese-boys. They don’t see Hungani fitting in Skeem Saam, where Sepedi is the main language.

Addressing naysayers, Hungani admitted that it will take some time to let go of the comparison between him and Cornet. He pointed out that this is because Cornet did an amazing job at building and crafting this character. Hungani promised viewers that he was bringing a new feel and new perspective to who Tbose is.

This is the night where viewers will get to judge if Hungani is that perfect replacement. Although shooting gets to be done months before, Skeem Saam fans will get to see his debut this evening.
