Hope Mbhele Celebrates Umkhokha: The Curse’s Cool Milestone
Hope Mbhele Celebrates Umkhokha: The Curse’s Cool Milestone. Umkhokha: The Curse revolves around the battle between the Mthembu and Gumede/Mzobe families for leadership of one of the biggest churches in KwaZulu-Natal, the Ithempile Lenkosi.
The hit telenovela is conceived as a spin-off prequel from the drama series Umkhokha. It takes viewers to the beginning of the original story to uncover how it all came to be. After ending Umkhokha on a cliffhanger, the series about two families at war promises a new era. Rather than picking up where the original series left off, Umkhokha: The Curse took viewers to the beginning of the story.
Premised on the idea that the love of power and greed are the root of evil, even in the holiest of places, Umkhokha: The Curse has taken things to another level.
Returning cast members include Deli Malinga as MaMzobe, Sibonile Ngubane as Difa, Nay Maps as Sphamandla and Hope Mbhele as Mabusi. Whereas new cast members include Gcinile Nkosi as MaNzimande (replacing Sthandiwe Kgoroge) and Daniel Hadebe as Reggie (replacing Mondli Makhoba).
One of the lead actors, Hope has just to Instagram to celebrate Umkhokha: The Curse‘s cool milestone. The telenovela has clocked its 100th episode, since it started airing on March the 6th. The talented actress and entrepreneur also thanked everyone for the love they have shown the show.
“Happy 100th Episode to Umkhokha: the curse 🙌🏽
Siyabonga uthando 🤍,” Hope shared on Instagram.
