Bontle Modiselle Celebrates 18 Years In The Industry and a New Cool Gig
Bontle Modiselle Celebrates 18 Years In The Industry and a New Cool Gig. Longevity in the industry is something to not be taken for granted. The entertainment industry is competitive, and the more you age, more so as female, is the more your time run out. Kudos to all the female entertainers in the country who have stood the test of time.
One such is Bontle Modiselle, who has almost two decades as a choreographer, dance and media personality, among other things. She made her debut appearance in the entertainment industry as a music video model and an occasional dancer. Because of her talent, Bontle appeared on numerous videos from notable artists including DJ Tira, Rouge and Major League DJz.
The dancing scene introduced her to the acting industry, as she made her film debut on the dance-drama film Hear Me Move in 2014), playing Khanyi. Bontle then starred on the inaugural season at SABC3 drama series Thula’s Vine, where she played Lindi. She also starred on Mzansi Magic Lokshin Bioskop shot-film Lokshin FM, playing Meme.
On 6 February 2016, Bontle made her debut television appearance as the host of SABC2 reality competition series franchise Showville, as a co-host alongside actor Rob van Vuuren. In the following month, she presented an award at the 2016 South African Film and Television Awards along with her sisters. In June 2017, Bontle was announced as the new presenter of e.tv music show Club 808. She continued her hosting duties on the SABC1 rap-battle competition series One Mic second season.
This is just a fraction of what she has done in the industry as a choreographer, dancer, actress and presenter. Bontle has done a lot, and she is a force to be reckoned with. This year marks her 18th as an entertainer and we are here for her consistency.
“18 years! That’s how long it’s been since I have been serving in the world of dance, art, media and entertainment. Quite honestly, it feels like I started yesterday…but the power of being blessed enough to live and see my passions & purpose through is nothing I can afford to take for granted. And respectfully, we’re only getting started,” she said.
Bontle has just bagged another gig, together with veterans like Khuli Chana. She is part of the Lunch Bar Legends Bus Tour crew.
“Right now, I’m in great company. I’m pretty excited to be a part of a class of legends like @khulichana on the Lunch Bar Legends Bus Tour as we get to share, connect and learn from the sources of greatness. Here’s to teaching, and being teachable,” Bontle announced excitedly.
