Letoya Makhene Returns to Acting With A Lead Role In A New Netflix Film
Letoya Makhene Returns to Acting With A Lead Role In A New Netflix Film. It has indeed been a minute. The last time many of us saw Letoya Makhene in action, was for her role as Tshidi in Generations: The Legacy.
The talented actress and musician is now back, with a new role. Letoya has been cast on an upcoming Netflix film called Homewrecker. She plays the role of Kenzie Miyeni a damaged woman on a mission to steal her successful colleague, Tamara Olpihant’s (played by Mbali Mlotshwa) life. Kenzie is willing to go to any lengths to claim what she believes is rightfully hers. When Tamara discovers her dangerous intentions, she unleashes her fighting spirit, to protect her dreams and loved ones.
Home Wrecker comes courtesy of Salamina Mosese’s production company, Sorele Media Productions.
“So I know that you all thought that I had given up on acting. NOPE!!! I am excited to announce that that my first @netflixsa film is finally coming to your screens 🎥 🍿,” Letoya announced.
She further went on to say that she had so much fun shooting with her colleagues. Although it was a bitter cold winter and a lot of film sets were being shut down due to COVID- 19, Letoya is glad that they managed to finish shooting without any hiccups.
Expressing gratitude, Letoya thanked the film producers for having so much faith in her and allowing her to take this character to the extremes that she did. She regards this as an out of body experience and enjoyed being completely psychotic.
Homewrecker is coming to @netflixsa on July 7 2023.
