Lasizwe Launches A ‘Dating’ Show Featuring Other Celebs. One thing about Lasizwe, he is quite creative when it comes from making a living using social media. He has used YouTube as well as other platforms to showcase his talent as an entertainer.
At the beginning of the year though, the media personality and overall entertainer bid farewell to his YouTube channel. This took a lot from him to do, as the channel is where he launched his successful career. His channel became one of the favorites in the country and beyond, and got recognition. In April 2019, Lasizwe received the silver play button from YouTube for reaching 100,000 subscribers. Among his many achievements was being among creators and artists from around the world who are the inaugural #YoutubeBlack Black Voices Fund class of 2021. Lasizwe launched the YouTube channel in January 2017, and he left it sitting at over 750k subscribers and 86,909,996 views.
This was definitely not the end for Lasizwe as he is back with a bang. He has just announced a new show, Awkward Dates. The 10-episode show he goes on dates with celebs including Khanyi Mbau, Lungile, Mihlali Ndamase, Kamo Mphela, Toss and Mmusi Maimane. Awkward Dates shows all the awkwardness that happens on first dates. This included not being able to use some utensils correctly, as well as some uncomfortable small talk.
The first episode will air on his channel in July, serving as a birthday present for Lasizwe.
