1. Calvin Ratladi was born and bred in Witbank, Mpumalanga Province.

2. In 2016 he completed his Degree in Drama at the Tshwane University of Technology Department of Drama and film. He specialized in Directing and Scriptwriting and passing with a Cum Laude.

3. Calvin is well known in the industry as an interdisciplinary artist working as a director, writer, actor/performer, choreographer, dramaturg and curator.

4. In 2010 he founded a theatre productions organization called Calvin Ratladi Foundation, which has worked closely with the South African State Theatre’s Fieldwork program.

7. The talented actor received the first residency for creative exchange from the Centre for the Less Good Idea in Johannesburg and the Teatre Lliure in Barcelona for 2021.
