“This One Really Hurts,” Minnie Dlamini Remembers Her Late Brother

“This One Really Hurts,” Minnie Dlamini Remembers Her Late Brother. It goes without saying that, when a sibling dies, the world changes in a heartbeat. Part of the reason is that one has lost someone who knew their formative past. No matter, how many years pass since the death, anything can trigger you, taking you back to the grieving stage.
One individual who has always been open about losing a sibling is Minnie Dlamini. The celebrated media personality, actress and entrepreneur lost her brother over three years ago, and she is still grieving him to this day. The youngest of three siblings, Khosini Dlamini had been suffering from a brain aneurysm and was placed on life support on September 2019. A couple of days after that, he passed away in hospital surrounded by friends and family.
Since that fateful day, his big sister Minnie has been grief stricken. She describes the period as the darkest ever in her life. A couple of months back, on Khosini’s 3rd death anniversary, Minnie said, that the day her brother took his last breath, is the day she also died. Her coping mechanism as she once revealed, is going to work and just keeping busy.
But there are moments where no amount of keeping busy can distract you from thinking about your loss. With Minnie, the moment has presented itself in the form of a milestone. Today, Khosini would have been in a great mood, receiving birthday shout outs, but sadly death took away that opportunity. Nonetheless, Minnie penned her baby brother a birthday shout out, but it was a very emotional one.
After wishing Khosini a happy birthday, Minnie revealed that it hurts, and that she wasn’t OK.
