Natasha Joubert Responds After Being Judged for Returning to Compete in Miss SA
Natasha Joubert Responds After Being Judged for Returning to Compete in Miss SA. A couple of days ago, Miss South Africa organization dropped their Top 30 finalists for this years’ pageant. This comes after hundreds of hopefuls around the country tried their luck in competing for the Miss South Africa 2023 crown.
As like in the past Miss SA competitions, this year there are return soldiers. One of them is Natasha Joubert, who was crowned as the second runner-up in Miss South Africa 2020. She was later designated as Miss Universe South Africa 2020 and represented South Africa at the Miss Universe 2020 pageant. Sadly Natasha was unplaced, despite her amazing performance throughout the competition.
Everyone deserves a second chance, and Natasha is no exception. The beauty queen, model and Volvo Ambassador has returned to the pageant this year. Her eyes are fixed on winning the crown and reigning as Miss SA for the year. Natasha has been placed in the Top 30, and many of her fans believe this is her time.
“A journey I knew I wanted to continue… I’m so thankful that I get to do it as woman who has had deeper conversations with herself, accepted challenges and never let the outcome determine her self worth. Gratitude doesn’t come close to explain how excited I am to take on this new chapter. This is my entry video for Miss South Africa 2023!🥳💛
I am and will always be so thankful for everyone’s support,” she captioned her entry video.
As expected, there are those not impressed with Natasha coming back to the competition. One social media user commented that Natasha should give others a chance, more so since she even represented the country at Miss Universe pageant.
In response, Natasha stated that her end goal went beyond competing at Miss Universe for a couple of days. She also wanted to have a year of reign among other opportunities.
“….I have not taken away any opportunity from anyone, as any girl can go to Miss Universe. Keep in mind, I did not even had a final night at Miss U. Please don’t try and discourage my hard work and dreams. There is a whole lot more to Miss South Africa than just going to the Internationals
So I kindly ask, what would you have done in my shoes? Settle for an un placement? Or stand back up, work harder and fight for what you know you are capable of?
I continue building a legacy and the message to others is loud and clear : You get to choose, everyday,” Natasha added.
