Minister of Sport, Arts and Culture Reaches Out to Britain’s Got Talent’s Finalist Musa Motha
Minister of Sport, Arts and Culture Reaches Out to Britain’s Got Talent’s Finalist Musa Motha. As long as you still have air in your lungs, nothing is impossible to achieve. We have just been shown that by Musa Motha who is doing amazingly great on the Britain’s Got Talent stage.
The South African dancer, originally from Sebokeng recently moved to London, where he is making waves as a dancer. Musa rose to fame after auditioning for Britain’s Got Talent and his performance had the judges and audience asking for more.
As an amputee, Musa is no ordinary dancer. He has to put in extra work, since he has lost one leg, and uses crutches.
When he introduced himself to the judges, Musa revealed that he was diagnosed with cancer at a young age. His left leg was then amputated because of the disease. Before the, he used to pla football, but then switched to dancing.
“After my amputation I fell in love with music. My friends were dancing at that time and I asked them to teach me how to dance,” he said.
“I used my left crutch as my left leg, and that is how it started,” he added.
After his performance, the crowd demanded a golden buzzer. Unfortunately for him, the all judges had already used their golden buzzers. The audience was having none of that, and the judges had no choice but to collectively give Musa a golden buzzer. He went straight to the semi-finals, and is now in the finals.
Minister of Sport, Arts and Culture Zizi Kodwa is among the many South Africans proud of Musa. Taking to Twitter, he revealed that he recently spoke to the rising star and congratulated him on his achievement. The minister also acknowledged Musa’s talent.
“This morning I called and spoke to Musa Motha, who went through the finalist on Britain’s Got Talent; I congratulated him and thanked him for flying our flag high – he misses our weather but absolutely trilled for the experience, he is pure talent,” Kodwa said.
