Local Celebs Livid Over the Treatment that Thabo Bester and Dr Nandipha Magudumana Are Currently Getting. Talk about tables turning for the two. Thabo Bester and Dr Nandipha Magudumana used to be popular among local celebrities. They were once in the A-list circles, with Magudumana bagging celebs as clients, while Bester pretended to be someone else, just to lure them. Now the duo find themselves in a situation where no celebrity want to be associated with them.
The duo are not only making news locally, the international media has also taken a keen interest on their case. Bester faces 11 charges pertaining to fraud, violating a body, corruption, in terms of giving a benefit, arson, escaping from lawful custody and defeating the ends of justice. As for his partner Magudumana, she is accused of allegedly aiding and abetting Bester’s daring escape from Mangaung Correctional Centre in May last year.
A day ago, Bester and Magudumana appeared before the Bloemfontein Magistrate Court with the other 6 co-accused. The only difference is that the two had their court session virtually, via Zoom Meetings. They were all swagged up with Bester rocking a Burberry hoodie and spotting a fresh hair cut. The hoodie is estimated to be costing $990 (R19,000), according to those in the know when it comes to fashion. As for Magudumana, her makeup was on fleek as always, and her braids were fashionably styled.
Them appearing on Zoom and looking all fashionable and cure was obviously going to raise eyebrows from anyone who has been following the case from day one. The main question being, why does it seem that the two are getting a different treatment from the other six people involved in the case.
Even some A-list celebrities joined in on the conversation, asking why Bester and Magudumana seem to be getting special treatment, despite the heavy sharges they are facing. The likes of Thando Thabethe, Rami Chuene, Blue Mbombo and Sol Phenduka were bold enough to ask the right questions about what is going on about the two.
