Anele Mdoda On Why She Decided Against Going to A Beyonce Concert for Her 25th Birthday. Most people will kill to go see Beyonce perform live. She is one of the most sought after artists in the entire world, and has one of the largest fan bases globally.
Even here in South Africa she has many die hard fans. Some were luck enough to see her perform in 2018, where she headlined the Global Citizen Festival: Mandela 100. As expected the multi-award winning artist killed it on stage, and her performances still trend on the internet to date. The lineup also included the likes of Ed Sheeran, Cassper , D’banj, Femi Kuti, Sho Madjozi, Tiwa Savage, Usher and Wizkid.
One of Beyonce’s biggest fans here in South Africa is undoubtedly Anele Mdoda. On numerous occasions the multi-award winning media personality and producer has stated just how much she loves Queen B. There was even a time Anele got in trouble for pitting Beyonce against her colleague and friend Kelly Rowland. She compared the ladies in terms of beauty, and not so many people were impressed.
Well, that’s old news, and Anele has since moved on. She recently shared a story, where she decided against attending Beyonce’s concert back in the day. Anele couldn’t go because that meant she would fumble her SA Got Talent presenting gig. She was smart enough to choose her career.
“A funnier story is for my 25th bday my friends raised money for me to be in the audience for Beyonce: Live at the Wynn. In an audience of 2000 people. Me getting SA Got Talent meant I could not go to Beyonce anymore. I did what Beyonce would have done… chose my career,”Anele said.
