10 Interesting Facts About Adulting’s Nhlanhla Kunene. A rising star that is definitely climbing up the ladder at a very fast pace.

1. Nhlanhla Kunene is 28 years old., and is the last of four siblings raised by their domestic worker single mom.

2. Just like many parents out there, his mom wanted him to be a doctor, but hey, his passion was in the arts. This is probably because he somewhat of a whizz or a genius in maths and physics in high school.

3. He went to Wits University to study drama, but had to drop out after two years because of fees. After that though, Nhlanhla was able to do other things like joining the Duma Ndlovu Academy which helped a great deal.

4. Nhlanhla made his television debut in popular soapie Muvhango. He also had roles shows like on Step Up to Start Up, a short film titled IsiThelo – (The Mask), and another short film Missing.

5. He has also done theatre, and has been on shows like Magic Pot, Forbidden Knowledge, The Antidote and Secrete Society.

6. The talented actor got his big break on Lavish, playing Eric, a character who was a gangster that didn’t take anything seriously, but he loved his girl.

7. Nhlanhla then went on to bag the role of Ndumiso on The River, a character who behaved like a spoilt brat. Raised by a widower (Siyabonga Twala) who worked to provide for his kids, Ndumiso, who has just come out of jail, feels like life owes him something.

8. This year, Nhlanhal bagged a lead role on Showmax series, Adulting is an eight-part drama series set in the parallel universes of four friends, Bonga, Vuyani, Mpho and Eric. On the show, he plays the hot-headed bad boy Eric, who is trying to be a good father, but has limited access to his daughter.

9. Among his highlights on the show included when Eric fights for his daughter and also whenever he is having some fun moments with his friends. Also not forgetting the hijacking because it’s emotionally driven, it’s not just hijacking for the fun of it.
