Social Media Reacts to Presley Chweneyagae’s Child Maintenance Drama #Papgeld

Social Media Reacts to Presley Chweneyagae’s Child Maintenance Drama. The award winning actor is trending for yet another scandal. A few months back Presley Chweneyagae was linked to fraud, after being accused of misusing funds from the National Lotteries Commission.

Now he is trending after appearing on Moja Love channel’s Papgeld show. The show calls out fathers, mostly, who are absent in their kids’ lives. The are confronted and asked to share their side of the story, after which a solution with the child’s interest is brought forward.

Apparently Chweneyagae is failing to support his son, who is now in grade 10. The angry mother, Alletta Somfula from Kempton Park, went to the show claiming that Chweneyagae is failing as a father. She states that the two met in 25, and she fell pregnant. According to Alletta, after her uncles informed his family, Chweneyagae’s mother denied the child.

We met in 2005 and I got pregnant. I found out I was pregnant when he had gone the US for the Oscars. When he came back I told him I was pregnant. He even asked my uncles to alert his family that I was pregnant but his mother denied the child,” she said.

Even after a DNA test was done to prove that he is the father, Chweneyagae still hasn’t stepped up. Alletta has five court orders against him but he is still not playing his part, as a father. As it stands Chweneyagae owes around R58 800 in maintenance. Let with no options, Alletta decided to ask for Papgeld’s help, in order to get Chweneyagae to be there for their son.

By virtue of him being a public figure, it went without saying that Chweneyagae was going to trend. Social media users are weighing in on the issue, with some even wanting The River to do something about their lead actor.
